The reviews on Ocado

Are very poor- both for own label and M&S ones. Are they actually quite bad or is it people’s personal preferences clouding the reviews?

On comparison Tesco/Waitrose product reviews seem to have a balance.

Was trying to order grocery and gave up as the reviews on fresh produce seem not great

No been an Ocado customer for 16 years (I think) It has seriously gone down hill since M&S. The lost a lot of brands , very little choice now, and the M&S veg are not brilliant quality and only have a day or 2 useby dates. Even if the do supply often no stock. I have gone to Oddbox for my fruit and veg now.

I dont have issues with getting orders or them being late, I did have an issue with very expensive subs and having to pay the difference. Very few supermarkets make you pay the difference for subs but Ocado do now.
Im just really fed up of trying to buy things I have bought for years and finding that they no longer stock it.
Its really sad as they used to be brilliant. I think the problem with M&S is that it has never been a place for the family shop, its good for the odd ready meal or treat.

We’ve noticed a real drop in the quality of fruit, which is strange because the M&S in store fruit is always great. They refunded us for one week (a few pounds) but we only complained because it was the same fruit consistently for several weeks). Part of the problems was we were forced to get the M&as stuff because Ocado’s own brand was out of stock. If we were more organised with our order, it wouldn’t have been a problem.

Yes lots were out of stock and alternatives were pointing to M&S products- then the reviews on those products were poor.
As the previous poster pointed out- the quality of M&S products in their supermarket is quite good so not sure if it is an issue with storage etc on the Ocado end? I gave up in the end- the whole pint if online shopping is that I’m limiting shop visits for milk/bread/eggs- no point if I have to go others for more!

Ive got a reserved spot so a months worth of orders booked and things are not just out of stock this week, they are out of stock for weeks ahead. I managed to get the salted caramel hot cross buns last week , but now cant order them at all for any of the future orders.

I used to buy the Waitrose selection tomatoes, there were always a week useby date and they lasted, the M&S version has 2 days and the tomatoes are mushy when they arrive. I assume they are stored under the same conditions at Ocado as before but no idea why they are so old when we get them

Shame as I like M&S food and was excited about the joint venture with Ocado. Doesn’t look very promising now...in fact I feel M&S would do themselves a favour if they ditch some ‘home’ lines etc and expand the food lines
