Went in to hospital last week week cause I had headaches, vomiting and blurry vision.

Found I have a vein in my neck that's taking the blood to my brain.

Sorry to hear you’re having a hard time. They need to do two HBA1C tests a couple of weeks apart to diagnose Diabetes. It’s easily managed through a low carb diet. Have a look at these forums www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/

I hope you’re back home soon xx

Diabetes is ok borderline. It's manageable. Have they said what your hbac1 results were? And which type of diabetes do they think you have (type 1 is quite rare to develop in adults but it does happen, type 2 is the more common adult onset type)?

I have type 2 diabetes. I was diagnosed nearly 2 years ago, when I was 40, but my hbac1 results were so high, they think I had it for a couple of years beforehand. I am controlling it through diet and medication (the diet is ok, but it's really not easy at the start).

I'm not sure what you meant about the vein in your neck. That sounds more urgent to me. I hope they fix you up and let you go home soon. Flowers

The vein in my neck has gotten smaller, bit the veins in the back are bigger so they're basically doing their job.
I'm under the stroke team as wellive just had so many tests.
I'm knackered,and bored.

I can imagine how bored you must be. How long have you been in hospital? Without visitors it must be even more boring than usual.

Tests are rubbish, but they are what the doctors need to know how to fix things so you don't get even more ill. I hope they sort you out really quickly and get you healthy and home. Flowers

Type 2 is completely reversible with a keto diet. This doesn’t have to be a progressive disease despite what they tell you. Good luck OP.
