Help wise Mums. My dd was accepted at St. Helen’s. Because of Covid we have only viewed the school online. Can anyone tell me if their daughter attends the school and whether it’s academic or sporty, a diverse ethnicity or just reflective of the neighborhood and whether their dd is happy there.

Hello

My daughter joined in September 20 Y2 and has thrived there. She joined from a state school. The pastoral care and teacher support has been fantastic and therefore so far so good. The ethnic mix is c90% + Asian and largely represented by Hindu/gurjati background and is reflective of the demographic mix of surrounding areas. My ideal school would be more diverse in ethnicity background but we live in the area so this is something you will see with most state grammar and private schools in the area.

Covid meant extracurricular hasn’t been permitted so I can’t comment re sporty v academic. My take so far is the school is an all rounder school and well balanced

All the best with your choice
