Incredibly tragic news. This made me think about how and why it is that certain disappearances of people in mysterious circumstances, are newsworthy and some much less so ?

It's so very sad that he died not knowing what happened to her.

When you think of everything that's happened in your life in the past 12 years, it's hard to imagine that in all that time her family and friends have been looking for Claudia and answers to what happened to her. That poor father going to his grave not knowing is truly heartbreaking.

It is so sad. It made me think of how he has died without knowing what happened to her, and how Keith Bennett's poor mum passed without them ever finding that little boys body. I can't imagine the pain that these parents have known

I remember it well, as I grew up, and still live very close to where Suzy was last seen. Did you see the recent documentary about her disappearance? Turns out the mystery has been more or less solved, but Police bungling has meant the killer has got away with it.
