Sad news.
He kept Claudia in our minds for twelve years.

R.I.P. Peter.

Poor man, to have fought for Claudia all this time, and for her disappearance still to be unresolved. RIP Peter.

He made a difference and only a handful can say that.
I hope he had a little peace.

Ah no, always hoped he would have some resolution.

As far as I can remember police had a vague idea but no evidence. Poor man RIP.

I cannot imagine living after losing a child but not knowing what happened to them. Poor man. RIP.

You'd want to tear the earth up if someone you loved went missing. Cannot imagine how he felt.

I’ve just read this. How sad. I can’t even imagine how hard that situation was for him. I too hoped he would’ve got a resolution.

Claudia’s disappearance is one of those stories that stays with me. I hope one day we’ll find out the truth about her.

Very sad

Just read about this, desperately sad. My second thought was how can someone go about their daily life, possibly with a family, colleagues and living with what they have done?! A monster living in the midst of a community, makes me shudder.

He seemed such a lovely, lost soul whenever I saw him interviewed. How sad

I’m really saddened by the news. He came across as such a good man. I’m sorry he never found out the truth about his daughter.

Totally, with Claudia’s Law he was able to do something for her, and others who may find themselves in his position. What a great tribute to him and Claudia. I (used to) go to York about once a month for work, and I always think of her case when I am there. It’s one that has stayed with me.

This is so sad, to die never knowing what happened. I felt the same about Suzy Lamplugh's parents. Very sad.
