Can someone help me quickly? Do I pierce the bag of my cook in the bag chicken???

I have a Morrisons extra tasty cook in the bag chicken. The instructions say to pierce the bag where indicated BUT there is nowhere indicated. There are just cut marks in case you want to brown the chicken a the end. Do I need to pierce the bag somewhere or just leave it? DH thinks it will explode if I leave it!

I never pierce mine. Only cut it open for browning for last 20 mins
