How is the wind where you are?

Its blowing ridiculously here in Snowdonia. My electricity is flickering, I’ve got lamb in the oven so it better not go off! Its dry thankfully but i can feel the whole house shaking. Ive got a week off for half term so gonna open the prosecco later and relax by the fire.

You can tell its bad as the sheep are stuck to the walls sheltering.

Blooming cold. First day we've had temperatures above freezing, all week and between the wind and lack of sunshine, the house is the coldest it has been all winter.

Building behind us has tarps and nets over building work and creates an amphitheatre type soundscape.

Sleeping has been intermittent to say the least.

I was watching a yt video about CS Lewis yesterday and siding with the White Witch - a nice quiet layer of snow (but not Christmas with its attendant work) would be nice.

It is a lot less than yesterday and I did my daily walk this morning. Should have had phone or camera with me, as there were two Canada Geese by the local pond, really beautiful.

Exceedingly windy in the Peak District. I'm hunkering down in front of the fire and eating roast pork later and much wine later.

It's really howling in Lancashire, I'm guessing there'll be quite a few trees down in the area. Luckily we have none in the immediate vicinity of the house.

We live on the top of the hill in north lancs it's only high 20s for wind speed so not too bad.

It has been so cold for weeks though and any reasonable wind eats the warmth out of the house because we're so exposed. Has bill is going to be horrific.

Strong and cold. The snow is finally melting and there’s no new ice or snow on anything for the first time in a fortnight, but it still feels really cold in the wind. Started to rain now too.
