Inspired by another thread, do you deserve a Mumsnet Darwin Award??

Have you ever hurt yourself/done something super dangerous/nearly died in a spectacularly stupid way?

The more comedic the better in my humble opinion. I'll get my thinking cap on, I was a spectacularly stupid teenager so it shouldn't be hard!

Wow sorry - I actually thought it was different as that thread is about stupid stuff you've done rather than nearly killing yourself, or is there a thread I've missed?!

But the actual Darwin awards are about people who have killed themselves, thus removing them from the gene pool, hence the name.

I don't think you are going to get many people posting from the other side.

Also, a lot of "I nearly killed myself" stories are not funny...
