What car do I want??

So I'm fantasy car shopping with the view to try and persuade DH to upgrade our old Focus. Budget under 10k. I'm a community midwife so have a lot of kit to fit in the boot- baby scales, birth kit bag, antenatal kit bag, entonox bag, laptop bag/rucksack, plus PPE bags. Plus I hate having to empty it all to do the weekly shop. We have one DC in an Axkid Move which they will be in for the foreseeable so need good cabin space. Would love a hybrid. Needs to be economical. Don't want an SUV or estate particularly as needs to be able to park in smallish spaces in the city when doing visits. Husband will not entertain a Skoda as that's what his parents drive! I did look at a Toyota Auris but the reviews weren't great. Any suggestions??

That’s a shame because my Skoda Karoq has a large boot and, as well as folding down, the rear seats can be removed altogether. It’s classed as a small SUV, but there is a smaller version, whose name escapes me.

I know Skoda's are meant to have generous cabin space and be reliable. I will look at Karoq's and see if they would persuade DH thanks!
