Home schooling my ds, age 13 and getting really worried about his standard of written English. He has a limited vocabulary, rarely uses capitals and full stops, struggles to put reseat into his own words and form an opinion.
He is good at maths and science but struggles with English and history. He shows me the work before handing in and I probably help too much as I want him to get a good mark.
Any English teachers around that can advise. He’s not a great reader but I try and insist on a chapter a day. Is there any books I can by to try and tutor him. Can’t afford a tutor.
