How many chocolate bars would you eat if they didn't make you fat?

(or rot your teeth or anything else negative)

I could get through twenty a day no problem. I don't have issues with getting full or feeling queasy like some people - I'm more your bottomless-pit type of gal. Those people who say they can't manage a whole creme egg without feeling sick are like aliens to me - I'd need to be well into double figures before that happened.

I did seriously think about adding Lindt balls to the end of my list @FusionChefGeoff but wasn't sure if they'd just nudge me into the edge of queasy territory..........

Probably 3 or 4.

But thats because 25 years of associating too much chocolate with migraines means I psychologically can't eat more.

I do still miss maltesers. One of my favourite ever chocolates but they mean instant migraine Sad

mynameiscalypso · 12/02/2021 20:49

I once told DH that I thought I could eat 5 Easter eggs in a day without a problem. So he bought me 5. I did not manage it and felt sick for about a week after my effort. This was over 10 years ago and he still reminds me about it.

Meredithgrey1 · 12/02/2021 20:50

Not many, I’m not a big chocolate fan.
Crisps on the other hand..

DuckonaBike · 12/02/2021 20:51

I would go for those Lindt bars that are melty in the middle. I reckon I could manage at least two a day. Or a Green & Black’s dark chocolate with mint. Maybe both.

Frogartist · 12/02/2021 20:51

@MeltedCioccolato

Standard twix size is what I imagined
Oh!! Well then, quite a few....Eating my way through a 200g bar as we speak. How many of ,those can you eat in one day? I think if you start early enough three of four would be possible...
Jenjenn · 12/02/2021 20:52

Good topic op Smile 2 smallish bars or 8 lindt balls or half a bag of crisps. A crate of biscuits. A lorryload of Danish butter cookies.

321zyx · 12/02/2021 20:52

Not many - crisps for meGrin

Msfoxy17 · 12/02/2021 20:57

Its interesting to see this crisp/chocolate divide.. I I can demolish a shed load of either..once I get started I cant stop. Very rarely buy crisps though as I know what I'm like (and I dont crave or miss them if they're not there) whereas have been devouring chocolate whilst doing dry Jan and Feb.
It's the only thing keeping me going of an evening.

I think if I could get away with it I'd happily snuffle 3 or 4 bars a day. One for breakfast, one mid afternoon in the post-lunch slump, one in the evening after dinner and one if I fancy when I'm awake in the middle of the night :)

PurpleDaisies · 12/02/2021 20:57

Only one or two.

About four billion packets of crisps though.

LadyCatStark · 12/02/2021 20:59

I’d give up all the other food and just live off chocolate!

OllyBJolly · 12/02/2021 21:00

None - don’t like chocolate.

I’m at the crisp party!

321zyx · 12/02/2021 21:01

@Msfoxy17 .....the difference is you're doing dry Jan/Feb whereas I'm not!

cliffdiver · 12/02/2021 21:01

This.

With salt and vinegar bells on.

schnubbins · 12/02/2021 21:02

Only a small piece of dark chocolate.I would prefer a selection of cheese and fresh bread with butter and chutney and maybe a glass of wine,I hardly ever eat sweets , cake or chocolate.

FraughtwithGin · 12/02/2021 21:03

None. I don't have a sweet tooth and I dislike chocolate.
In fact I rarely have sugar in the house and have been known to have to go and buy sugar, if needed for cooking.
Toyboy, on the other hand, often has a HUGE box of Haribo in his flat and has been known to go through my kitchen opening all doors to cupboards and muttering "I need chocolate".

KitKat1985 · 12/02/2021 21:05

Fuck-tonnes.

Insertfunnyname · 12/02/2021 21:08

Every bar. There would be none left for the rest of the world.

JaninaDuszejko · 12/02/2021 21:08

God, I love chocolate so much. If it had no ill effects I'd eat and drink nothing but chocolate for about 3 days before I started missing other food.

picklemewalnuts · 12/02/2021 21:10

All of them. So the rest of you will never know your limits!

I've never understood the 'too much' argument. If I have a limit, I've not reached it.

Oversize · 12/02/2021 21:11

Boxes of chocolates. Boxes and boxes of them. I'd rarely eat anything else.

babbi · 12/02/2021 21:11

@Lumene

All of them. All the bars.
Totally agree 😋 🍫
Anonanon12 · 12/02/2021 21:12

2 for Brekkie, 2 around lunch, 1 at 3, and 2 of an evening I reckon!
I'm a nightmare for chocolate even before breakfast

Afromeg · 12/02/2021 21:13

Oh goodness! OP, you think like me. Those are the exact reasons I've grudgingly stopped having them. I only have to eat one and it shows on my face the next day or my gums start to feel funny 😫

If that were to happen, Chocolate bars would become my food - morning, afternoon, night especially ones with caramel. Just give me those with caramel-infused coffee or hot chocolate or latte and I'm set.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 12/02/2021 21:13

I’m not fussed about chocolate, I honestly can’t remember the last time I had it. But CRISPS, and CHEESE. Honourable mention to cashew nuts.
