...came rushing to my dd's aid when she rather dramatically fainted after a routine blood test at hospital this afternoon Shock. She's 15 and was quite nervous but the blood taking itself was all fine. She said she felt 'a bit sick ' afterwards, then as we were leaving she went very pale and fainted right out. I cried out 'help' and within seconds she was surrounded by lovely nurses and staff who looked after her and made sure she was ok. They gave her drinks and checked her blood pressure etc (she was absolutely fine after a short while).

I feel a bit tearful typing this out. They couldn't have done enough for her and I just feel so grateful. Flowers.

How lovely of them! But they’re probably not going to see this. Could you send them a card to thank them, and/or send an email to their bosses to let them know how grateful you are?

Yes - any kind of (positive) feedback is exceptionally useful because it can be used for revalidation. I know in my trust we have nominations for awards that anyone can submit which also give recognition to the staff there too

Yes, I've sent a review with detailed comments to the NHS Trust and I'll drop off a card too.

Just going forward, she should ask to lay down for blood tests. My sister in law is a fainter and it’s saved many a situation because she tells the in advance.

Glad your dd is ok Flowers
