Small business grant fuck up

Ah I’ve really balls up and could cry.

I applied for a the small business grant but I’ve just noticed I’ve put a number wrong on the account ( didn’t have my glasses on) I had an email last week saying they were sending over a grant for Nov- December and it would be in with in 14?day. It’s not appeared. Just had another email saying they were putting some more in for January - feb on Monday.

I could cry. In fact I think I might do. I’m scared to death the one off payment has already been paid ( which I desperately need) and the one from last week.

I can’t phone any one about it and I’ve emailed but they have probably gone home now.

Will they be able to claw it back if they have paid some one else?

I've applied for a number of businesses. Relax. An email on Monday, and a follow up email on Tuesday should sort this.

Ok, If the account number you entered is not an account at your sort codes bank, the money goes back to the sender in a few days & they should have been notified that this would happen and will see the repayment in their bank account. If the payment went through to a wrong account they can request the bank to reclaim the money - this won't always be possible but often works. You'll be surprised how many people have entered wrong details when applying for the grants, you're not going to be the only one. Don't worry, give them a call Monday & send an email and they should be able to sort it out.
