Marcella Series 3 - WTF?! ***SPOILERS***

Has anyone else finished this series?

I was half gripped, half WTF?

Especially the last few episodes.
What was that random part about the main guy shagging his best mate? That seemed totally pointless to the plot. Either develop a relationship or leave it out.

The whole family wiped out?!

The revenge police officer seemed not connected to the police whatsoever yet he could magically make Marcella undercover and give her all she needs? And presumably payments.
Yet it was a personal vendetta and not connected to the undercover police.

The old partner rocked up at the end - alone and no bullet proof vest into a home which knew he was a police officer and they all had guns and hated him.

And don't even get me started on everyone being wiped out but the baby.

Yep-was so out there it was completely fucked up and nowhere near as good as the other two series!

Yes all the series are completely crackers with loads of things that don’t make any sense but yet I’ve watched them all!

The third one took the biscuit though.

Loved series 1 and 2.

On episode 6 of series 3 and am not really enjoying it.

Am still wondering who shot the taxi driver from s1 tbh.

Loved series 1, sort of went along with series 2, am going to give up on series 3 after just the first episode . It’s just ridiculous.

Totally agree! I enjoyed the first 2 series and series 3 was just completely off. So different to the previous series, everyone dying at the end, her keeping the baby?! Happy to leave her own kids. Just a bit ridiculous.

I gave up on about episode 4. I loved series 1 and 2 (or I thought I did) but just wasn’t very gripped by this one for some reason.

I've just finished it. Preposterous.

So many loose ends and bonkers diversions. TBH I'm not even sure how she ingratiated herself into the family so quickly. One minute she is the girlfriend of the bent accountant that they kill and the next minute, she's moved in and running the show.

I think the writers got a certain point and just went 'fuck it. anything goes'.

Series 3 was awful - so utterly stupid, annoyed with myself for watching it.

Anna Friel is such a good actress that her performance draws you in. It's only when the episode finishes that you can objectively ask yourself what you've just watched.... If it was someone else in the role who wasn't so compelling, I don't think I'd have stuck with it. It's so so ridiculous.

Apart from her inability to pronounce any word that involves U sounds.

I get that this isn't her usual accent but surely it's an easy fix? Has no one on set pointed it out to her?!

The bit in series 2 that confused me was when Marcella went to see the man in the care home who had escaped and survived the childhood kidnapping but couldn’t talk and when she left she just missed seeing her ex’s new girlfriend which made it look like she was in on something but nothing more ever came of that and they went off to Singapore!

Just finished series 3.
Last episode was just bonkers, surely they would’ve realised an eye was missing and wonder where 24 mill has been transferred to!
Also who is on the phone when she is in the airport lounge?

just come on here to say i have to run to kick fuck out of or turn off my laptop when the advert for this comes on. Her accent makes my whole spine twitch when she says 'back to weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerk'.

Could anyone kindly summarise series 3 for me so far? I'm so confused and have missed bits. I'm watching it on ordinary telly so up to last night's episode where Stacey is trying to get away with the baby and they find drugs on her.

Does the family know M is a cop? I thought she was under cover but last night the matriarch woman says 'I know you're a detective' or something like that.
