I know you don’t know either but how can I find out? It’s my 40th today and I’ve had a box of flowers delivered. It’s from an online florist called Serenata.
There’s a card with them which has a message but no name at the end, it’s a pretty generic happy birthday sorry it’s not what you had planned kind of message.
A friend told me yesterday something would be arriving for me today, I just phoned her to ask if she had sent flowers. She said yes, but she ended up phoning all the florists local to me and ordering some there, but she has no idea what they look like. The name of the shop she used isn’t the same as the name on the box of the flowers I received. I read the message on the card and she said hmm yeah can’t remember what I said but it was something like that 🤷♀️. However I guess as she ordered them from a local florist they would be delivered by that florist rather than by a courier?
The other option is that they are from my bf who is working abroad. It’s a newish relationship and my dilemma is that if I ask him if he sent me flowers and he didn’t it’s going to be really awkward. The message in the card did sound like the way he writes IYSWIM. He calls me by my full name but my other friend who sent flowers usually calls me by a shortened version.
Third option is that it’s someone else completely random 🤷♀️
I guess I have to just wait and see if more flowers turn up today, and then I’ll know they’re not from my friend. My bf just messaged me though and I feel a bit rude not mentioning the flowers as my gut feeling is they are from him, and I guess if he sent them he’ll be able to see they’ve been delivered.
