Do you wear make-up every day? How do you find the time with small DC.

I used to, I wouldn't go anywhere without wearing foundation/powder/blush/eyeshadow/the works. I used to make a real effort.

That all changed when I had my first baby, make up was something reserved for special occasions as I just couldn't justify the 45 mins it took to make an effort.

Baby #2 came along and I virtually never wear make up now. I miss it.

I've bought myself some new cosmetics to try and rekindle my love for it but I just can't find the time or motivation. The kids are toddlers and don't afford me a spare hour every morning.

I have a mum on Facebook with 6 children, all very young, and she regularly posts pictures of her with her DC and she looks wonderfully made up. Tan and full glam.

Is it truly difficult to make such an effort every day with small children or am I just depressed Confused

I’ve never really worn much. I used to always have winged eyeliner for years but dropped that probably 2 years ago, felt too old to pull it off. I’ve worn red lipstick since I was 14, it’s like a statement piece now and it suits me really well so I tend to wear it most days but that’s honestly it. I have quite a nice olive complexion and I genuinely don’t mind my face without it.

I wear make up everyday

I just like to feel better and put together , even if I’m in leggings and fitness wear etc.

I put it on as soon as I get out of the shower - get dried - get make up bag and sit in the top hall doing it on the floor.

Takes me Under 10 mins , I can see DC in their rooms if I do it upstairs so easy enough to keep an eye on them too.

I do daily :
Foundation
Concealer
Highlighter
Blusher
Bronzer
Eyeshadow
Eyebrow pencil
Eyeliner
Mascara

( Sounds like a lot but bearing in mind the powders all just take seconds to swish on )

Good point @Ginfordinner but I'd rather spend a bit longer and enjoy my shower / bath in the evening. Plus then I wouldn't have time for my face!

I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old. The most I get is a shower and maybe some face cream (I have to give some to DD too 😆). If I get up early and DH isnt on a run in the morning I might get to blow dry my hair. Makeup ain't happening lol. I could do it if I was happy with my toddler swinging out of me, demanding some foundation for herself. Too much hassle.

I do. I only wear eyeliner and powder tho so it takes minutes.

Bronzers: No 7 have some good ones. Especially that one that is half lighter/half darker.

Boots also have 2 of my all time fave products :the Physicians Formula Muumuu (or something) bronzer in Light (impossible to fuck up, smells like Malibu though so avoid if you don't like that) , and the Wet n Wild contouring duo in Dulche De Leche (the bronzing side isn't too dark and the highlight side is super subtle, very work appropriate and I love it, have gone through 2 in the past. )

Sadly both seem to he OOS? But I'll be keeping an eye out.
