How can I run business from home?

Looking for advice on how I can run a business from home. So, if you are looking to buy a home is there anyway to do so that you can run a business from home? I'm a yoga teacher and would like to use one space in my home to teach yoga. Is this possible? What's the way around this?

My immediate reaction would be that you would need to have a dedicated space for your business, possibly with its own entrance/cloakroom facilities. Then, depending on your location, you might need to provide parking facilities.
Have you developed a business plan/model? It is also worth talking to your bank's small business advisor and to an accountant (for the tax implications & allowable expenses) as well as sounding out the local planning department to determine whether or not you need planning permission for a business in a residential area (see point about parking etc.).

Thanks @FraughtwithGin. Yes that's good advice. I'm thinking also about in terms of getting a mortgage and being able to use a space at home as a home studio. I would need to make sure before I go ahead with mortgage and home purchase I guess that it's allowable with a mortgage.
