Switzerland Boarding school

Dd is currently reading Enid Blyton's Chalet School series, I used to devour those books also when I was her age & always wished I went to one So just starting a mindless thread to ask if anyone knows or have been to one & are they as fabulous as they are made out?
I only know of La Rosey something where Osama Bin Laden had supposedly boarded there!

I went to boarding school in the UK based entirely on Mallory Towers.

It wasn't the same.

Just looked at fees per year for a few approx £50,000 plus flights there and back
I went to boarding school in england from age 11. I loved and hated it at various times.
My kids had the option to go but didn't want to.

I loved Mallory Towers too! Just chatting to dc at bedtime about how amazing it would be to ski every day at school & have friends from all around the world Thank the Lord for books!

Yeah I jumped at the chance to board mainly based on malory towers. Kinda was the same tbh 😂

Do you mean Mallory Towers or St Clares?

I think OP means The Chalet School but has said EB instead of Elinor M Brent Dyer.

My sons old teacher works at the jfk school. It’s in Gastaad or somewhere like that. It’s kind of sad these quite small kids are so far away from their parents - under teenage
But it is beautiful

Apologies, wrong author! It's the first time she's moved on from EB, she has read all the Naughtiest Girl, Mallory Towers & St. Clares however the setting of the Chalet School has totally mesmerised her, she can't believe schools like this exist!
