Would you let them know or just take the hour?

I've got loads going on atm, which work know about and have been very supportive of. A very stressful time and I'm not sleeping very well.

I've done a good mornings work, but have come over feeling really nauseous. All I want in the world is to lie down for a bit.

I manage my own workload and I doubt anyone will notice, but would you tell them?

I'd set my calendar to busy and just go for a lie down. Have done it several times. I do manage folk in the us though so quite often pick stuff up in the evenings so regularly work a bit extra.

When I first started WFH I felt very self conscious, as if someone would know if I took 10 mins to make coffee.

Now I have a very different approach. I always get things done and always in time. So if that means I can have the odd nap, walk etc I will because first of all no one will know unless I tell them and second of all they're probably doing the same.

I work by task completion now rather than clocking up desk hours.

No need to tell your boss if you have control over your own workload - which means surely you can have an hours nap when you need one and catch up later.

If you're not online, you're not online? They'll contact you later?
