Moving from a house to maisonette?

Would love some opinions from people who have lived in maisonettes... especially if you have toddlers!

Currently living in a 2 bed house with 3 and 5 year old, 5 year old is autistic. Also have ddog and a couple of cats. We're in the west Midlands and frankly I cant stand where we are.

An opportunity has come up for us to move to a lovely little semi rural village, beautiful surroundings and great schools, but into the upper floor of a house conversion maisonette. It has it's own fairly large garden so wont be losing outside space however my main concern is potential noise for the downstairs neighbours, especially with 5 year old who can be extremely loud sometimes.

Should I take the opportunity to move considering having downstairs neighbours to disturb will be the only downside? Or should I stay put until I can find another house?

(Sorry, added context, we're in a housing association house and looking to swap).

Noise issue aside, would it be difficult to supervise them in the garden if you needed to pop inside or watch them from inside? Or if you had to leave them upstairs while you went to hang out the washing etc?
