Epidural

Hello, I'm just wondering im trying for a second baby however my first birth was very painful and I had to wait an hour for an epidural. Is there any way if I'm being induced that I can have the epidural before my waters are broken?

I hope so. If I have a second I will be requesting an epidural ASAP after a bad first birth!

I was induced with my second and I got an epidural before contractions really kicked in. It was such a better birth experience than with my first and I managed to push her out no problems with less than 20 minutes pushing. I felt like the first time around the midwives were reluctant to give me an epidural but this time around they offered as an option early on.

Can't advise on the epidural, but just wanted to say that my first birth was 26 hours and ended with 8 hours of epidural and hormone drip after stalling... my second took 4 hours start to finish and done with 2 paracetamol and a few puffs of gas and air, so things can be very different the 2nd time.
