DD needs to work on core strength for ballet, and I could do with the same for general middle age. Can anyone recommend a good fitness app, such as Les Mills, Apple Fitness + etc? Would like to start doing something with her, need something beginner and teen friendly

Downdog. There's a suite of apps you get access to when you subscribe. I use Yoga, Barre and Workout and all are fantastic. You set the workout length, difficulty and any areas you wish to focus on (core / flexibility etc) and it generates a workout sequence for you. I'm really impressed with the quality of the teaching too, the instructors are very clear about positioning and alternatives to avoid injury

The yoga is just exercise, no spiritual stuff so would be a decent alternative to Pilates. Barre is amazing for core and glutes.
