Both of mine are on a break for the next 20 minutes.

DS (8) is in his wellies, coat, gloves etc. standing in a bucket of very icy water in the garden, eating half a mango and trying to catch snow flakes.

DD (15) is still in her pyjamas Blush and making fruit salad. She has done her lessons this morning but sees no point in getting dressed to go no where.

Sitting next to me on the couch. It's supposed to be PE but he broke his toe at the weekend Hmm

He's not happy cos we've got loads of snow but he cant go play in it much. The last time we had this much snow he fell down the stairs and missed it as well ShockGrin

TurquoiseDragon · 09/02/2021 11:46

DS is currently in an online college lesson. DD has a day off and hasn't stirred out of bed yet. She'll be up soon enough.

And if anyone wants any snow, you can have mine. Still snowing and settling here (East Mids).

AledsiPad · 09/02/2021 11:50

DS1 is on a teams lesson in the play room. Is in pyjamas, will be until he goes for a walk with his girlfriend later.

DS2 is in the dining room, on a teams lesson. Also in pyjamas, which he will be in until after lessons finish, when he will be asked to change into fresh pyjamas. He hasn't been out in weeks so I really don't care. Grin

DS3 is at school (EHCP). In clothes! Shock

DD is on the sofa, watching Operation Ouch. She has finished all her work for today, it never takes her more than an hour overall. Not in clothes... Grin.

I'm not judging their attire. I'm in leggings and a lounge top because I'm also not leaving the house and it's comfortable, so why bother with anything else?

Dd in bed poorly

NotFromHere99 · 09/02/2021 11:58

One on her maths tutor session, one watching youtube mindless crap still in pjs. The other lazing mucking around on his phone no doubt trying to dream up an imaginative way to be allowed to play Fortnite this pm. All have done some school work this morning and will do another hour or so this later on today.

Insert1x20p · 09/02/2021 11:59

Begging for Robucks. It’s half term here.

RubixCubix · 09/02/2021 12:06

DD (14) Is doing quadratic equations. And reeling off the list of what she wants for her birthday.

DD (13) Is asleep, but will emerge soon when I ring the lunch bell.

DCat (5) Has joined DS after eating second breakfasts and murdering a ribbon.

Howmanysleepsnow · 09/02/2021 12:10

Ds15 is doing an online question sheet. DD13 is in a live geography lesson. DS7 and Ds8 have just got in from playing football in the park while I walked the dog. DS7 is having a break in front of TV. DS8 is reading Harry Potter and eating pretzels. In 10 minutes they’re both going to start English (I need to gather my strength for that!)

Mcmole · 09/02/2021 12:16

We are on half term. DD is skyping grandparents, after having played outside in the snow earlier.

MrsJBaptiste · 09/02/2021 12:19

One is now on lunch until 1pm then back on Teams until 2.30.

The other is on Teams until 1pm then has finished for today (short college day on a Tuesday)

I'm also on Teams until 5pm and I seem to be the only one suffering with bad wifi today Angry

I'm dragging one of them out for a walk later - they're both hoping it's the other one who gets chosen - neither of them have left the house for a few days now...

School holidays here
Dd has been out in the snow for hours. DH had her out on her sledge earlier. She having lunch and planning to go back out to build the biggest snowman ☃☃️ (can't wait)😉

IggyAce · 09/02/2021 12:32

DS year 5 has just finished his zoom maths lesson so is eating lunch.
DD year 9 is eating lunch too, all her lessons are via teams so gets 40mins for lunch.
They both enjoyed playing in the snow this morning, ds completed worksheets quickly & dd had a free lesson (PE).

mindutopia · 09/02/2021 12:36

Watching Netflix as I have my own teaching to begin in half an hour (not eligible for a key worker place as I can teach remotely).

Jellycatspyjamas · 09/02/2021 12:37

Half term here, kids out playing in the snow. Suspect they’ll be banging on the door for lunch soon.

MyGorramShip · 09/02/2021 12:38

12 and 10 year old are doing their chores (hardly any lessons today and none of them are live)

5 year old is getting dressed ready for the one Zoom meeting she has every week

Keratinsmooth · 09/02/2021 12:38

Eating lunch watching danger mouse, had to cajole earlier to do school work but all good

alliejay81 · 09/02/2021 12:38

DS yr 7 had his RE lesson cancelled, so is doing his work collaboratively with a friend via WhatsApp video.

He's been sleeping very badly, so we're counting the days until half term and a break from zoom school.

All dressed here (albeit with a very loungewear vibe).

ThatsnotmyBorishishairistoneat · 09/02/2021 12:39

Dd 11 in shower

Ds getting changed then we’re going sledging

Whodofthunk · 09/02/2021 12:40

Youngest is playing a cbeebies game having just finished a live lesson. Eldest is angrily ripping up photos of him and I together Sad. Not the best day.

Anycrispsleft · 09/02/2021 12:44

We're all sat at the table and DD1 and 2, twins aged 8, are doing maths. We don't have any live lessons, they just have work set for them. After last lockdown when working parents justifiably complained that they couldn't teach and work at the same time, we now in second lockdown get exactly the same sort of work set for them, but at the top of the list of tasks it says "you should try to do this on your own", which has had a revolutionary effect on their ability to do self study, oh no wait it's made bugger all difference. We're not in the UK by the way, we are in deeply conservative south Germany, where there are a ton of SAHMs of school aged kids owing to school only running to 1pm even in normal times, but it is a total disaster for single parents and both working parents, and I can think of 3 or 4 of my kids' classmates who are probably going to end up being held back a year.

Opia90 · 09/02/2021 12:46

Mine are 4 and 5..
They have both just put both legs through one trouser leg and are thrashing around the lounge screaming "mummy were mermaids" HmmGrin

Pepper54 · 09/02/2021 12:49

17 year old (in a hoodie) is in a live biology class, 14 year old (in uniform Grin her choice!) is doing an online French verb test. They share the spare room which has been turned into a study with Argos picnic tables as desks, they have AirPod things so it works ok. Both will be down for lunch at 1pm.

Whodofthunk Cake hope your day improves.

PaperMonster · 09/02/2021 12:58
