I have a new car arriving today. It is being driven from approx. 350 miles away.

Would it be odd to tip the driver?

No. I tipped mine who delivered my car. He had to head back on a train.

I understand that this one won't have to get public transport, they have a chaser car apparently so there will be 2 of them.

I wouldn't tip.

Afonavon · 09/02/2021 10:30

Nope, seems odd. But I hate tipping culture anyway. People are paid to do a job, they should be paid enough without it needing to be topped up.

Ronnii · 09/02/2021 10:33

We didn't tip, was a 10 mile drive for them with a chaser car. They had messed us about a bit, we had turned up to pick up the car as agreed but it wasn't ready and they hadn't cancelled.

Ronnii · 09/02/2021 10:39

It's it's brand new and they drive it 350 miles, it's kind of arrived devalued.

@Ronnii I agree, but it's a business lease so I don't need to worry about that so much luckily.
