When will my first scan be

I found out I was pregnant at 13 weeks and by the time I got my first midwife appointment (it’s tomorrow) I will be 15 weeks and 4 days. Just wondering if I will be offered a scan soon as I’m in between the normal 10-14 and 18-21 scans.

Hey! So yes they should I had one at 5 week 6 day because to make sure everything was fine and again 6 wel 6 days and then my scan at new gyno as I went to new one at 10 week 4 day and again I wanted one at 13 week 4 days now I’m going for my 20 week scan in 10 days , I would demand it

There's no need to demand anything, the scan will be arranged automatically as urgent, just to confirm dates and organise any late screening etc. Then the anomaly scan at 20 weeks will happen at the correct time.

I assume your not in Uk to have that many scans “just to check”, in NHS that would not have been justified unless something was wrong this pregnancy such as heavy bleeding or a previous ectopic)
but @Cgmore you will be classed as an urgent and tried to fit into an appointment ASAP. At this stage they will not have many (if any) dating scan slots free (as most booked earlier than you) so you will need to be fitted in somewhere. But as you are too advanced for Combined Screening it’s not as urgent as you would have been when you were under 14 weeks, you will be offered dating scan and Quadruple Testing instead.

Presumably you paid for the three early scans as they wouldn't be available on the NHS? Plus its a bit irrelevant to this discussion as OP didn't even know she was pregnant at 5, 6 or 10 weeks.

OP you will be offered a scan at the earliest opportunity. The booking appointment with the midwife will trigger all the other scans and appointments. However you have missed the window for the nuchal translucency testing which is for downs syndrome and other genetic abnormalities. You could pay to have an NIPT test such as the harmony test if you want to have those screenings done. This will not be offered on the NHS.
