Has anyone bought the new iPad Air in sky blue?

I know, first world problem! Wondering what the blue is like is real life. Is it a blue or more a silver?

My daughter has it in blue, very light, but definitely blue, she bought the matching blue cover, it is lovely

How weird, this evening I made an order for exactly that!

It won't arrive for another week though so I can't be very helpful on the colour yet!

I do...it’s so silvery my DH took it back to Apple complaining they’d supplied the wrong colour!

Oh gosh ... am so torn. I’d love pale blue as a change but my worry is that it’s got too much of a silver tone as you obviously experienced @Galliano. Such a shame that you can’t go to a store to see them irl.

Am surprised that Apple delivery times are so long @BlueTongueSkink but they’ve been like that since before Christmas .. that’s how long I’ve been procrastinating.

Other choice is the rose gold ... from watching unboxing videos (sad, yes!) it is true to colour.

I have rose gold which is definitely rose gold. I've got a navy cover for it so you can't see much of the rose gold but I think it looks rather nice as a combination. Apple lead times were ridiculous when I went to order it a couple of weeks ago so I bought mine on John Lewis with next day delivery for the same price.

I stuck with blue! We ordered it in October as soon as it was released and it was pretty much the November lockdown by the time we took it in...DH had a Genius Bar appointment for another device so he took it along and they confirmed it was blue which he admitted it did look in store next to a silver one!

I regretted not getting green!

Yes I liked the green one too @Galliano, it took me a while to decide between that and the blue!
Hope it's not too silvery now!

You will need to come backcand update us @BlueTongueSkink. I'm going to try to make a decision this week. I also like the sound of the rose gold with a navy cover as @mynameiscalypso has. Decisions.

Well @Lululu22 it's just arrived and it's definitely not sky blue, definitely more of a light grey blue. I'll try and attach a picture although the colour doesn't show up that well on my phone photos!

It looks lovely @BlueTongueSkink. Are you happy with it, even if not sky blue? I ended up placing an order and mine arrived today though I haven’t had an opportunity to open it yet!! I’m expecting the colour to be as you describe having read review after review and then deciding to hell with it, I can order a coloured cover if I don’t like it!! Can’t wait to get it fired up ... my current ipad is 6 years old and the battery drains in a couple of hours. Enjoy yours!!

Thanks! I do like it actually, it is a nice colour and as you say it'll probably end up with a cover on it soon enough anyway.

Have fun with yours too! I'm looking forward to my new one not throwing me out of apps all the time like the old one!
