What drink am I thinking of? Driving me mad

It's pretty old. 90s maybe.

It's like Purdeys or aqua libre. That sort of name. It's fizzy and has botanical type extracts in it. It was in a glass bottle and a clear liquid

I'll know it if someone says it!

Was it in a lucozade type bottle and looked a bit like Cinzano?

AuntieDolly · 08/02/2021 21:56

I think I'm thinking of Aqua Libre :(

ALemonEntryDearWatson · 08/02/2021 21:56

@AuntieDolly yes maybe. Maybe foil round the top. Should add its non alcoholic

Marketed as a reviving sort of health drink

MaggieFS · 08/02/2021 21:56

Do you mean a bottle of a spirit or an alcopop?

ALemonEntryDearWatson · 08/02/2021 21:57

I'm sure it's not aqua libre as that's mainly sparkling water isn't it? With natural flavourings

This was a very unique taste

MrsJackRackham · 08/02/2021 21:57

Bizique?

ALemonEntryDearWatson · 08/02/2021 21:57

@MaggieFS no. Non alcoholic. A sparkling health infusion type thing. I used to drink gallons of it

OP posts:
AuntieDolly · 08/02/2021 21:58

Aqua Libra tasted like herbs

ALemonEntryDearWatson · 08/02/2021 21:58

Not Bizique alas

OP posts:
MaggieFS · 08/02/2021 22:00

Ah, ok. No idea, sorry!

NewSummer · 08/02/2021 22:01

Sabai

SoCrimeaRiver · 08/02/2021 22:02

Archers? Peach snaps

Taboo? God I drank some classy beverages back in the day.

onemorecupofcoffeefortheroad · 08/02/2021 22:03

Erm - wasn't it Purdey's? Like you said?

SoCrimeaRiver · 08/02/2021 22:04

Sorry missed the non alcoholic bit! Not elderflower presse?

ALemonEntryDearWatson · 08/02/2021 22:04

Ah! It WAS aqua libre but they binned it off in 2008. So it now exists as something completely different - basically mildly flavoured water

What drink am I thinking of? Driving me mad

ALemonEntryDearWatson · 08/02/2021 22:05

@onemorecupofcoffeefortheroad no not Purdeys.

It's AL - they stopped making it. It exists today in cans only and it's just water

JackieweaverhasALLtheauthority · 08/02/2021 22:05

2021mumma · 08/02/2021 22:06

Schloer

GenevaMaybe · 08/02/2021 22:06

Schloer?

ALemonEntryDearWatson · 08/02/2021 22:07

No, it's old style Aqua Libre which they binned off 20 odd years ago.

OP posts:
Labobo · 08/02/2021 22:07

Aqua Libra had a distinctive strong herbal taste (melon and tarragon) and was fizzy and very slightly sweet. It came in a clear bottle that looked like a wine bottle. Are you sure it wasn;t that?

Or Zima?

Labobo · 08/02/2021 22:08

Sorry - didn't see the full thread.

500BusStops · 08/02/2021 22:09

M&S used to do a fizzy botanical drink in a silver and purple can in the 90s, not dissimilar to Purdeys.
A can of that with a prawn mayo sandwich was the height of lunchtime sophistication to my 14 year old self. Wish they'd bring it back!

StooriMidori · 08/02/2021 22:10

Clearly Canadian? The only other 90's soft drinks I can remember are Rio and Tab Clear but they came in cans!
