Needing to crack my back since doing yoga last week

Around a week ago I was doing some yoga at home, including some deep back stretches. Since then I have felt the need to 'crack' my back all the time, which isn't something I have ever experienced before in any of my joints. It doesn't hurt, but I'm guessing this isn't going to be good for my back! Does anyone have any idea what could have caused this? Will it resolve by itself? Do I need to try and resist the urge?!

Something along your back, or your ribs might be out of alignment. When I get this I need to actually do more yoga to get it all back into alignment, including backbends and forward folds, twists and reclining work.

Breathing properly, fully, into the front of the body and the back is a must and might be enough to pop it back in.

I think it happens when doing new stuff and I don't have the muscle strength to support the pose (like handstands) or developed the awareness of the joints to know how to stack them yet (hip openers).

If its yanking, or a sharp pain, that you cannot breath into you've possibly got an injury which will need rest, deep heat or whatever methods you usually use.
