Hello, please can anyone recommend a really good gluten free chocolate brownie recipe please? I've had a good google but results seem very mixed so I'm hoping for something that people have tried and liked. Thanks!

This is nice, and has gone down well with non gluten free people as well.

I don't think I've tried her choc brownie recipe yet, but I've had most success with becky excel recipes on www.glutenfreecuppatea.com

These are very good (you can use butter instead of coconut oil - both equally nice)

Brownie recipes which use less flour could work for you. I make one which is a beetroot chocolate brownie, I’ve also made it with carrot, sweet potato and parsnip instead of beetroot. The flour used is much less because of the veg, and they are delicious.

Dove farm - add some extra chocolate and maybe less sugar (depends on how sweet you like stuff, I always use less sugar in everything) and go for the lower end of the baking time. The higher end is ok if eaten straight away, but they get quite crumbly the following day.

You might check with whomever you're baking for if they are strictly 20ppm gluten free, as chocolate might be cross contaminated in manufacture.

Not a brownie but I've just baked a chocolate chip loaf cake from that website I posted. It is amazing! I baked it for an hour, not the 50mins in the recipe. So moist and light - and I didn't even use an electric mixer!

Becky Excells chocolate brownies are the best. I add a bag of chopped hazelnuts to mine and they are hands down the best brownies I've ever had.

Ooh, I'll definitely have to try these then! Her recipes are consistently great aren't they?!
Apileofballyhoo · 08/02/2021 19:43

Must try then; her recipes get great praise on gluten free FB groups.

Ilovefluffysheep · 08/02/2021 19:56

I agree with Becky Excell, all her recipes are fab!

Nigella's flourless chocolate brownies and hot chocolate sauce. I just don't bother to make the sauce.

Best GF brownies ever....

I use this one and just swap the flour for gluten free flour. Under cook it so it’s really gooey.

This 100%. I do these all the time and they get requested time and time again. Absolutely divine and best eaten chilled I think. I never do the sauce either.

Becky Excell has my favourite ever recipe for lemon cake so I will definitely have a look at hers, thanks

Peachesandhoopke, we do the same! The bbc good food recipe is delicious, although we double up the milk and white chocolate chunks Blush

Peachesandhoople · 09/02/2021 10:30

@SallyTimms oh yeah definitely add extra chocolate!

Squishedpickle · 12/02/2021 17:32

I made the Becky Excell ones and they were PERFECT thanks!
