Snub nose

My 3 year old has an upturned nose, so her nostrils are quite prominent. I'm wondering whether children's noses change over time, and whether her nose will become less upturned over time? Does any parent have experience of this, or indeed anyone have experience of this themselves?

She's of course absolutely beautiful either way, and I of course haven't mentioned and won't mention any of this to her.

Thank you

My siblings and I had upturned/piggy noses as babies and still have slightly upturned noses with prominent nostrils as adults. Can't say anyone has ever mentioned it, nor have I ever been bullied about it. Whilst I'm not conventionally beautiful, I don't think it makes any of us ugly either. People thought my brother looked like Matt Damon when he was younger and nobody ever mentioned his nose. She must have got the nose from someone in your family... can you identify who or look at baby photos? This will give you an idea of what it would look like as an adult. But, in any case, I think it's a weird thing to even consider... yes we all want the best for our children, but this seems a little bit insignificant to me as an owner of a prominent nostril nose! x

Noses are slow ( and permanent) growers and the shape doesn't tend to change too much. Faces, however, do change quite a lot so it may be that the context her nose sits in will change the look of it. I imagine you mean something like darcy bussel or the actor that plays Jaq Naylor on holly ( if you have ever watched that?) both of whom are very lovely looking.

Thank you! I have wondered who it came from but honestly nobody in the immediate family has an upturned nose, so it's a puzzle. It's probably fine as you say, thank you for your reply.

And ultimately.... if it's so prominent that absolutely everyone remarks on it negatively and it causes upset then the only permanent solution is a rhinoplasty. But this is all out of your control so no use worrying about it. I am not an advocate of plastic surgery BTW

My husband had a very small nose when little, which bloomed 😅 as he got older. The fact that his nose changed quite significantly over time made me wonder if upturned noses might level out over time too. But you're right, no use worrying at all.
