Rééducation périnéale - anyone done pelvic floor therapy, U.K. or France?

I live in France, my last child was born here 10 years ago. At the time I didn’t do the post-birth physio that is very common here. 10 years later, and with mild bladder weakness (pee a bit if I sneeze or cough unexpectedly, wouldn’t take a chance on a trampoline, but mostly fine) I decided to follow it up.

I’ve had three sessions with the kiné (physio) so far. Two in the gym, one with the electronic sonde. She has given me tons of exercises to do! I just can’t fit them in, and the thought of having to do these forever is mind boggling. I have a further 7 sessions to go.

So has anyone here had experience of périnéal therapy - U.K. or french style? It’s brilliant that I can get this so easily here, I know, but I’m daunted by how much hard work it is! Two rdv a week and 20 minutes of intensive exercises to do 3 x a day! Is this really what it takes? And do I have to do this forever?

That sounds quite intense!

Much more than I’ve heard anyone in the U.K. getting.

It’s very intense! I’ve had physio for various back problems and they weren’t like this. I just wondered if it’s normal. It would certainly work - but I’m struggling to find the time /space/committment for it.
