Feeling non specifically ill at night?

Doesn’t happen too too often, usually 2/3 times a month or so .

Fall asleep fine, then wake up about three hours later feeling fluey; too hot, shivery, tummy cramps, indigestion, dizzy, headache . Usually awake until 6/7am with it .

Sometimes end up being sick/diarrhoea but not very often at all (ie 4 or 5 times a year) .

I have a weird stomach - CMPA as a child and still can’t drink milk so wondering if it’s a gastric thing . Am sick/diarrhoea at the slightest issue - too much dairy, fat, fruit and vegetables, eggs, carb heavy, rich or spicy food can set me off .

I also have a lot of gynae conditions going on though, which can flare up during the month, and am anaemic too (under treatment) so it’s hard to work out what’s what .

GP surgery are pretty unconcerned and said it’s probably some sort of vague GI issue made worse by stress and anxiety but it’s bloody horrible when I’m up 6 hours with it overnight .

Have had katsu curry this evening with very little sauce, few chips and a bit of naan bread, and been awake since 1am feeling off, I loved it but now wishing I hadn’t eaten it at all if that makes sense !

I’ve been tested for coeliac disease and diabetes and absolutely fine .

What does it sound like, and what could I do to help? GP told me ages ago to not replace dairy with soya as believes it’s very bad for thyroid - no idea how true that is but said better to avoid dairy altogether . Which is easier said than done !

I can't offer any help, but I have something similar although not as bad and it usually only lasts an hour or two. I feel hot/cold, sick, my heart races and every time I think something is seriously wrong, even though it has been happening for over 10 years. When I wake up again in the morning I'm fine.

I’m sorry you have the same sort of thing, it’s horrible .

I’ve ended up vomiting, so think it’s probably bad indigestion . Have taken half a bottle of gaviscon (slight exaggeration!) and back to bed . Vomit had a bit of blood in it which has panicked me a bit but think it’s more down to retching/acid, have had before and remember GP being totally blasé about it .

I'm having indigestion and stomach problems now as well - I think it is due to some underlying stress in my life, not enough to actually upset me but obviously enough to upset my digestive system!
