Home learning has been dire but he now has an encyclopaedic knowledge of travelling through time and space Blush

I was hoping to get him Lego but a lot seems to be sold out.

A sonic screwdriver?

DrMadelineMaxwell · 07/02/2021 18:23

We painted our dc's door to her bedroom to look like the Tardis. She loved it to bits and was blown away, as we managed to do it in secret too by taking the door off it's hinges to 'fix it' in the garage.

Not exactly what you asked, but we made DD this Adipose cake when she was Doctor Who-mad and she cried, she liked it so much. It's caramel Buttercream, then Adipose (the little charmers who eat human fat Grin) made from marshmallows and mini marshmallows for arms and legs. And little faces with an edible pen! She also got a cuddly Adipose and a talking Cyberman helmet that birthday. The child was OBSESSED.

Etsy is awesome for dr who bits.

doctorwhoooooo · 07/02/2021 18:44

No, all ideas are great, the poor sod is having his second lockdown birthday so I'm trying to make it as good as possible.

Thanks re the Etsy shout. I thought there would be a lot more available in other shops tbh!

I loved Dr Who for a short while when I was about that age and my parents managed to get me a remote control full sized K-9, it was amazing. I think my dad still has it somewhere...

Dontlickthetrolley · 07/02/2021 18:51

Check Amazon, my son got a signed photo mount of the 11th Doctor, Matt Smith, absolute God by all accounts, very reasonable price.

Dogsarehairy · 07/02/2021 19:20

Cocopogo · 07/02/2021 19:24

We have the Tardis talking money box and it’s still going strong a few years later

DIKateFleming · 07/02/2021 19:25

Amazon as the old Dr Who DVDs, we bought DD the Tom Baker ones she’s enjoying. The books are good too, either as books or audiobooks. She’s also got Jodie Whitaker Dr doll, sonic screwdriver. We got a few bits from Etsy such as bookmarks and charms for bracelets. Also got a hoodie and t shirt from amazon. Also ordered a weeping angels hoodie from Etsy but it never arrived and vendor disappeared off the site, but I got the money back from Etsy without much fuss

Dogsarehairy · 07/02/2021 19:26

Forbidden Planet do Dr Who stuff

I hope that link works. Sonic screwdriver universal remote. I used to have one and I loved it. Iirc it only did volume and channel up and down, but it is cool.

BaggoMcoys · 07/02/2021 20:05

Looks like the link failed, sorry! Search for sonic screwdriver universal remote and you should find it.

doctorwhoooooo · 07/02/2021 20:23

Thank you, I'm going to have a good look around. Think a sonic screwdriver is a must!

Has he got a favourite Doctor... You could get him some accessories to make a costume.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 07/02/2021 20:46

And a wallet to make some psychic paper!

Clevererthanyou · 07/02/2021 20:46

Paint their bedroom door to look like the Tardis?

gemdrop84 · 07/02/2021 20:50

I got dd a tardis playset, and an encyclopedia of the doctors, companions and monsters when she was a similar age. She's now 12 and still loves Doctor Who. It's worth checking ebay for bargains!

Clevererthanyou · 07/02/2021 20:52

I can’t do links on this phone but you can copy and paste this for a website called A1 toys:

a1toys.com/doctor-who-13th-season-two-3cvr-a-hallion.html

I’ve bought from them many times.

oldstudentmum · 08/02/2021 11:04

I'm a huge dr who fan so is my 7yr old now. Amazon do a mystery box full of dr stuff about £25. B and M did have dr who toys in including companions and Daleks. Here's the bad news sonic screwdrivers are pricy you might be able to get the 13th at Argos it was about £13 him being a boy he may want the 10th or 11th one they have been known to sell for£50 ish . I got a door curtain of the tardis on wish.com and it was brill.

Unicornsloverainbows · 08/02/2021 11:09

I bought for my Dr Who obsessed friend a fez... she was very very happy. Fezzes are cool.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 08/02/2021 11:13

Forbidden planet and EMP have a lot of Dr Who stuff but it might be more collectables/grown up stuff than toys.
