Cracking an egg to fry for a breakfast egg sandwich and the yolk breaks

Any small things, that in the scheme of things are nothing, but can put a tiny dampener on your day?

@YesPleaseMary

When I go to make a gin and tonic and the tonic is in the pantry instead of the fridge and there’s no ice left in the freezer.
Oh yes, this! Flat tonic, no ice and tepid gin. Ruiner of days

@allpassengers how does one narrow down pooping to one place? Would love to train this in
And OMG to the milk sploosh ruining tea. Yes.
I'll also add getting a wet cuff to the list

DH not flipping the bath tap off of shower so I get a soaked sleeve when I go to get the water warmed up before stripping and getting in! Just happened half an hour ago...

My hair not blow drying quite right in the morning

ifitpleasesandsparkles · 09/02/2021 15:42

@AdaColeman

Going to do the loathsome job of putting out the bins, only to discover that some unknown obnoxious neighbour has filled your bin up with their rubbish!

As you are about to serve spaghetti or linguine, discovering that your perfect pasta fork, with the narrow spaced tines, is not in the cutlery drawer.

Your favourite sherry glass being in the dishwasher, just when you need it!

We installed a wheely bin lock. Best decision ever.

One I’m sure we’ve all had whilst working from home.

The office early bird ringing you before you’re ready for work / still in bed. Yes they may be up early with their family, but we don’t have to start til 8:30, so don’t ring me at 8:15 and expect me to be coherent.

Hairdryer packing in mid way through drying my hair

@polkadotpjs it's more about having a command although we have to fence off an area. Take them to that place to do all their business from when they're very tiny pups (needs to be close to the house obviously) every time they do one you say "busy busy!" have a party and make lots of fuss/give them a treat. After a while they will go when you say "busy busy".

The long term idea is that they go before you go for a walk to save future guide dog owner having to try and scoop poop 💩 however they can be stubborn little buggers and when they decide not to go it's very upsetting 😂

Needing to buy a new packet of the only brand of knickers that fits my odd body shape properly only to find they've gone out of style or have been discontinued HmmConfused

Mine are mostly work related:

  • pulling a giant pack of cereal off the shelf and getting a cornflake shower because some twit didn't reseal the top
  • opening the bin to find people have been putting rubbish in without a bin bag
  • pulling a sackful of used nappies out of the bin only to have it split and now the nappies are all over my feet
  • someone mentioning a cup of tea at 8.30 when my lunch break is not til 1

Also, some person parking in my space at Morrisons!

Discovering when you go to sort the laundry out of the dryer that some snivelling git has left a tissue in their pocket.

Peasbewithyou · 09/02/2021 20:25

The telltale noise of the entire box of Duplo being emptied unceremoniously all over the floor.

Running out of my favourite chocolate and only discovering at 9pm when I finally get the kids to bed and want to relax with a cuppa.

My kids refusing to flush the toilet Envy (not envy)

Wacking my head on the slanted ceiling in the bedroom.....not like I don't know it's there so how the chuffing feck do I mange to do it 3/4 a week?

Work printer telling me it needs paper, it has paper, humour it by putting a bit more in, still wants more paper.....this is on both printers!! Both got turned off to have think about themselves.

Yes to the short person problems and hanging my self on door handles by my hoodie pockets or hood.

Realising my sock has a hole as I stand in water my darling dog has dripped all over the floor.
