Moved to Southport looking for friends

I have just moved to Southport and I don't know anyone, but I would really like to meet some new friends. I have an 11 year old boy who is a little super star. This move is a fresh start for us and I would like to meet and also chat with like minded others.

Is there a meet up group in your area? Another idea is the community website Next Door. There must be others in the same situation who’d be grateful if someone arranged something - perhaps suggest a zoom ‘coffee morning’? just so hard to meet in COVID times.
