Haven't seen anyone outside my family for a year now

Yes, I know that sounds ridiculous. I moved to the UK in September from a country that was in brutal lockdown. And then just when I was beginning to make friends here, the UK went into lockdown. DH is vulnerable and rates are very high, so I feel uneasy about meeting anyone even though I am allowed to meet one person. The friends I do have here are very far away and I don't want to take public transport to meet them.

But am going steadily nuts living with two very quiet and busy men.:) Am I overdoing this? My thinking is to continue until DH gets the vaccine, hopefully next month.

It’s the same for everyone, OP. Flowers

Not sure you’re supposed to travel anyway. It’ll only be a few more weeks. You can’t just not follow restrictions unfortunately.

True. I agree. I used to attend a walking group within walking distance. But then I thought, it would be really stupid to give DH covid just before he gets the vaccine.

I just need to moan a bit. I won't break the rules though. A couple of my friends also have vulnerable people in the house.

Same here, avoiding giving DH Covid has been my existence for a year too. It’s meant not having a bubble. It’s tough isn’t it?

yes my bubble now is just DH and DS as the rest of my family in other countries. V tough as they have Zoom calls all day and understandably want quiet in the evening, while I want someone to chat to. Going to pick myself up off the sofa and try to go out now. Thanks, Agnes.
