Angel bells pregnancy necklace - anyone had one?

DP watching Inspector Montalbano on TV and apparently this was mentioned so he asked me if I knew what it was. I didn't, googled and saw various versions of pendants on very long chains (to reach down to full pregnant tummy) that had a bell inside or made tinkling noises upon movement. The idea being baby heard that in the womb and when born could be soothed by hearing the same sound. So has anyone had such a necklace and did it work? Thinking of gift for pregnant friend.

Sounds a bit woo! I wouldn't fancy jangling all the time like a naughty kitten.

No I wouldn't waste my money. Sounds ridiculous.

I have one. I’m still pregnant so I don’t know if it works or not (not expecting it to be honest) but I like it. It gets a lot of nice comments from people

I received one ten years ago when I was pregnant. The musical chimes sound very pretty but honestly the jingling got to me so I stopped wearing it. I never once got it out to jingle near DS when he was born.
But I was very impressed with it as a present. It looks beautiful.

Sounds absolutely bonkers but I guess someone thought of it as a way to make some $$ and people are enabling them.

I felt enough of a cow when very pregnant without the need for a bell as well.

Right ......I guess that's a no then!

In the deep recess of my brain, the "hearing in womb" then soothed when hearing again in the real world actually made sense, but nevermind, I will move on Smile

The jiggling of a bell will be an insignificant sound compared to the beating of their dm's heart. Both my dc wanted to hear a heartbeat when they were born.
