What can I get delivered to Tasmania as condolences for a very close friend's bereavement?

I have looked at interflora and it's going to cost at least forty quid to send the cheapest bunch of flowers.

My friend lives on acres and has nature all around her. I don't think flowers are the right thing (I'd be happy to pay that if I did).

She is so far away and I want to get something there soon (well ideally I want to order something in Tasmania to be sent to her).

Any ideas?

How about some wine or gin or something that you'd share with her if only you could be there? Maybe buy yourself the same and have a drink together over FaceTime/zoom.
Hillstreetgrocer.com looks nice for local deliveries of chocolates/hampers/groceries. I agree flowers seem a bit inappropriate given the countryside there!

This company do lovely hampers/baskets (I’ve received one, not sent one yet). gourmetbasket.com.au/

Also, the postal service there is abysmal - letters/etc can take more than 2 weeks from mainland capital cities (it normally takes a while, but COVID has magnified that).

Thanks for advice.

So I'm guessing there is little point trying to post something from UK if the post there is so bad?
