Six Nations 2021

Any other rugby fans?

I'm a WRU supporter but watch all the games!

France on good Form. Was pleased to see Italy play the whole 80 minutes with gousto despite the score.

Not enjoying the SCO ENG game; I find England inconsistent and it makes me weirdly anxious despite not even supporting them!

England supporter here and I agree!

Weird match, Scotland playing fantastically well, England all over the place. Exciting play but boring match Confused

Enjoyed Italy France much more, France are on fire and it's going to be amazing.

Six nations is a must watch in our house. The family what's app was busy earlier! Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 fan, married to an England fan.

England aren't playing brilliantly, Scotland are playing with more flair. Looking forward to tomorrow as well. Difficult to call Wales v Ireland.

poblwcymru · 06/02/2021 18:32

I suspect they are feeling the lack of crowd- I must admit to not noticing much difference to TV coverage aside from anthems Sad

The fake crowd noise is well done!

England have had an awful match. Scotland deserve the win

I agree - I say this as a Wales supporter but you never know which Wales will turn up. They are either dire or fantastic. Ireland on the other hand are more consistently very good.

I thought that was a great game (Scotland supporter!). I was 7 last time we won at Twickenham.

Vthirtyone · 06/02/2021 19:04

I'm generally an England fan, but I find it really exciting when they have a shit day and I'm looking forward to seeing how it pans out. Scotland were brilliant today.
I always find it really interesting to see when a usually good team don't play well, and can't wait for their next game to see if it was a one off or if there is something wrong. Farrell is making some strange decisions at the moment I thought.

lachy · 06/02/2021 19:07

@poblwcymru My DH says the same. Wales can be dazzling one game, dire the next.

Congratulations! A well deserved win and the 6-11 score didn't reflect the fact it was a one-sided game!

As an England fan for many, many years, who has seen them snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory so many times, it's almost a relief to get the defeat over at the beginning.

Scotland deserved the win and, as an Exeter Chiefs supporter, it was good to see Hoggy and Jonny Grey do well at least Grin

dementedma · 06/02/2021 19:23

6 nations family here - all rugby dad. Some of us live in Scotland, some in England and the rest of the family are in Ireland! It gets very competitive as loyalties are divided - with friends in France and Wales adding in to debates.
England played badly today and only remained in the game because of strong defence and a lack of clinical finishing by Scotland. Scotland deserved the win but should have had more points on the board.

Italy have a new young team, but really need to be dropped from 6 Nations. They finish last every year and its just a challenge to see who can score most against them and get bonus points.
France looked very good - but see above for poor opposition.

peak2021 · 06/02/2021 19:25

Not watched it- cannot abide fake crowd noise. BBC offer the no crowd noise option for football (when they cover it) and I choose it every time.

lachy · 06/02/2021 19:27

The England v Italy game will be interesting. England will go in fighting and Italy will just fall apart.

Looking forward to tomorrow. It'll be fun to watch whatever happens.

poblwcymru · 06/02/2021 19:32

@dementedma I took my kids to Cardiff last Feb for the Wales Italy game because I wanted their first game to be a win and it was a given! Grin

Me too. First England match i took mine too was England v Italy for the same reason. England were crap i wouldn't be surprised if Italy Trump them

Crockof · 06/02/2021 20:12

Excuse my basic grasp of English language, I blame the alcohol needed to watch the game

willithappen · 06/02/2021 20:27

Scottish gal and rugby player here. VERY happy with the result 🤪

senua · 06/02/2021 20:34

Unhappy England supporter here.Sad
I'm cross that we never seem to be able to turn round a game. I always hope that Eddie will give a good half-time talk but it either doesn't happen or the players don't listen. They never seem to be able to analyse, react and change tactic.

poblwcymru · 07/02/2021 15:27

Ireland should know better than to play anything but to the letter of the laws with Barnes reffing.

OP posts:
LadyEloise · 07/02/2021 16:39

I agree, poblwcymru
Ireland can't afford to be a man down.
O' Mahoney Sad

Hobnobswantshernameback · 07/02/2021 16:54

My nerves are taking a shredding
So sad seeing my hometown like a ghost town today Sad
Should be in the pub right now
Last time wales played Ireland at home
I was in a packed pub in town
I miss people Sad

poblwcymru · 07/02/2021 17:06

Last 10 minutes of any Wales game always uncomfortable but Wales made it 14 for reasons unknown!

Blood pressure through the roof but happy with a win!

OP posts:
Hobnobswantshernameback · 07/02/2021 17:17

That last ten minutes should not have been that tight
