How’s Your Saturday Going?

Mine is pretty good. I’ve eventually cracked a medication combo that sorts out the dreadful gnawing pain in my arm & fingers. Such a relief! It was really getting me down & I wasn’t sleeping very well either. Booked in for physio next week. Nice shift at work with some really lovely customers. Still shocked how many people don’t shop “ solo”. There were several family groups & it really shouldn’t be happening during a lockdown. I bought straw for the bunnies then headed home & had a smoked salmon sandwich with DH’s homemade bread, still warm from the oven. Soooo good! Quick trip to Spar with DD to spend part of her pocket money & ended up spending nearly £20. So much for trying to economise whilst we only have one wage coming in! I am now drinking some really rough wine from Lidl. That’ll teach me to only pay £3.50 or whatever it was! Catching up on Married At First Sight Australia whilst DH is having a snooze & DD12 is in her room. Will watch The Masked Singer & The Voice later.

My Saturday has been pretty pleasant.
I dragged myself out for a run, pottered at home for a bit and had a walk in the sunny bit of the day with dh and ds2 who was in a lovely chatty mood.
Popped over to my mum's to drop off some shopping and had a chat for a while at a distance, and now I'm flopped on the sofa with a glass of wine watching England being rubbish at rugby.

Well, we did the usual Saturday chores and shopping.
Now DD is working for uni, 3rd semester exams are looming. All online - she has not met a living human being for more than 6 months.
DS is gaming and reading. DH is working as usual.
And I have done a bit of course work - for my own enjoyment not leading anywhere and will probably do some more. I love Futurelearn.

Quite a boring day really. Kids have played together or on their own, perfectly nicely. Dh has been at work. I folded some washing, tidied round. Spoke to dm on phone.
Having maple pork and salad for tea. Will watch tennis on Amazon prime later.

My Saturday has been peaceful but quite fun too! I went for an hour's walk earlier which left me feeling brighter. Then when I got home, my delivery of a beauty kit had arrived so I enjoyed going through all my goodies. I also hung up a painting that I'd been meaning to and am really pleased with it.

The kids are all now chilling and we have a quiz with friends to do at 8. We've had fish and chips and I have a bottle of champers chilling in the fridge which I'm looking forward to popping open!
