How long does a letter take to get to NYC?

Just that really, I have a friend who lives on NYC, I want to post a birthday card, how long would it take to arrive?

Anywhere from probably a week to two weeks usually, depending on the post. The US postal system is really struggling.

Use the US Moonpig site. Sending from here took our cards nearly 4 weeks to get there

Lack of flights for freight from here plus awful mail service in the US atm means long backlog

In last month have sent a couple of cards to Washington state and they have taken a week each. However I would allow two weeks really if you have that time!
