How long is a hot drink in a flask safe for?

I like hot water to drink. I filled my Chilly's bottle yesterday afternoon for a walk but never drank it. I was just about to refill it for today's walk but it's still perfectly warm. Would you drink it?

I woukdn hesitate if it was cold water but are you supposed to keep things warm that long? Would the answer be different if it was soup?

No it wouldn't taste nice after a day had passed. I'd make a new one.

If it has milk in it I wouldn't

Water, yes, of course. What on earth could have happened to it to make it unsafe?

Vegetable soup would also be fine, anything with chicken I would be more wary, as I once had the most horrible food poisoning from chicken, so am careful now.

Why wouldn’t you pour freshly boiled water in?
