Cleaning the washing machine.....help

I have a Bosch washing machine, which I occasionally run a bottle of cleaner through. I clean the detergent tray, and the space where the tray goes (after reading about that on here!)
But......am I supposed to do anything else? A filter/drain type thing? I can't find the manual. I've never done anything else but feel like I'm missing something.

My machine has a filter behind a flap on the front
My last one had a filter you accessed by removing the kick flap that ran along the bottom of the machine.
Can you Google your make and model to see if you have an accessible filter?

You'll get the manual on line type Bosch serial number manual into google and one will come up.
What you're doing is fine providing you're doing the run through on a cleaning cycle or very hot wash.

God is it going to be foul after years of neglect?? There is a flap at the bottom.

Ours is usually just clogged with wet lint.

Wipe around the door seal and inside glass with white vinegar too.

Wet fluff and the odd coin sometimes
Have towels handy.
My machine has a wee rubber tube to drain excess water before opening the actual filter cover. Use a bowl to collect the water

Oh dear. I've had this machine 10 years. I will have a look online, thank you.

Make sure you come back and tell us all the wondrous things you have found in your filter.
