I feel about 15! My friend is seeing a guy and shes gone on instagram and looked at his exes profile it was open so we looked. Today she went back on time look at the profile and it was set to private. I'm guessing this woman knows my friend has looked for some reason and locked her profile down? #cringe

Maybe she just knows what type her ex goes for and has locked her profile down I did a privacy check when my ex got involved with his last fiance but she had a rep for being a nut

They would know if you looked at their stories , not if just looking at a picture.

Afaik Instagram doesn’t tell you who has viewed your profile, but it does say who’s viewed your story. So did she/you click on a story? If so - yes.
If not, then unless you/she accidentally liked something she will not have known.

If it helps you feel better, when new to Instagram, I snooped on my dp ex, and didn't know clicking on the pic to enlarge it could also like it

You've probably accidentally 'liked' the photo and so yes, she knows you've been snooping.

Those apps are fake, there's no way this information can be accessed.

OP it's a coincidence. Or (like others have said) you've accidentally liked their post or viewed their story.

They’re fake apps. They don’t work. There is no way for them to have that information to show you, it’s not part of the API.

Maybe she liked a photo by accident.

I did that when curious about how an ex was getting on once. I enlarged his pic, only it was a screenshot picture of his, with the heart of where it had been liked already. I panicked thinking I must have liked it by accident and repeatedly liked/unliked trying to fix it before I realised. I still don't know whether my repeated attempts were going through as a lot of likes or not. I'll never know but I still cringe at the thought

Those are all fake. For privacy reasons there's no way any social media allows you to see who has been looking at your profile.

If you've looked at a story or accidentally liked a photo she's posted then she will know.

Hahaha this makes me giggle a little because my ex and I split up a month ago due to his infidelity and today I decided to private my Instagram (not related to snoops...) and I'm thinking I really really hope the woman he is seeing has thought the same thing about mines. Muahahaha
