Help on legal aid 11 years later
I was in a violent relationship 12 years ago, we have a son, we ended up in family courts after criminal courts, I used legal aid for two years for the family court, after 11 years of a non contact order being issued I have now after 11years received a debt from legal aid, I have certificates to cover the orders but my Solictors waited nearly a year to complete the process, which means when they put the aid in it doesn’t cover, now legal aid think I owe them £2500
I am complaining and I will go to the press/MP but it has taken years to get over what happened and years to get out of debt from the relationship, the order they are asking for me pay back is a non molestation order, this is to ensure my son and myself are safe it was issued on the last day of the legal aid certificate anything after I am being charged for
Can legal aid do this 11 years Later?
No divorce! No home owned! No contact with legal aid for 11 years
Please ask questions, and I will explain more but after 11years I wonder why they are now asking for money back?
