Lockdown boredom so I built a sledge

What with the snow coming at the weekend I decided to build a sledge. Obviously no shops really open so thought I’d give it a go just for something to do.

Ingredients:
1 old estate agent for sale board plus post
A couple other old scraps of wood
A few dozen screws

Tools:
Saw
Stanley knife
Cordless drill
Hammer

Step 1 work out roughly how big you want it and cut the estate agent board (has to be the corrugated plastic type ones to work) with a Stanley knife but leave about 30 Cm too much length.

Cut the post so you’ve got your side bits, try and get an angle for the front

Step2 screw yer bits of wood together. I pre drilled a bit so the wood didn’t split.

Step 3 bend the board over the angled bits at the front and fold back and attach with a piece of wood clamping it down. That’s pretty much it. I’ve christened it the Lonelycrab deathwish mk1 (tm)

Ds9 will be test pilot hopefully Sunday at some point

Oh op, I thoroughly applaud your efforts, but you know you've jinxed it now... There'll be three flakes and that will be it.

That is one of the most resourceful projects ever. My hopes were not high seeing the initial materials. I love that you did this and more so that you made a thread of it!

@Tigresswoods I wouldn’t worry too much it’ll probably disintegrate within a few runs so the chances are low

For added comfort and aerodynamics i used what was left of the sign as a little backrest
