It's femicide, not a "domestic incident"

Two women violently murdered in Scotland and a police source says it was a "domestic incident".

We need to change the minimising language around these deaths - "domestic incident" implies a private matter, none of our business. Behind closed doors. She was probably nagging him etc. etc. Going to a woman's place of work to murder her, and then going to her daughter's place of work to murder HER, before committing suicide is NOT a "domestic".

It’s a term used to calm the public down that there is no imminent threat to the wider community. Not just used when it’s man on woman violence.
