Did any of you experience strong period cramps before you found out you were pregnant?

Hi All,

I've been experiencing strong period like cramps for the last 6 days but no period as of yet (I'm currently 2 days late). It definitely feels like I have AF on its way because of the pains, but I can't shrug the feeling that I could be pregnant as the pain is now going into my back and I have more prominent blue veins showing on my boobs! I'm also going to the toilet every 30 minutes to pee and it feels like I'm coming on, but nothing.

Did any of you experience strong period like cramps before taking a test and it was positive? I'm just looking for some reassurance, because we have been trying for a few months now and I'm scared to take a test and be disappointed.

I felt similar cramping just before I found out I was pregnant. It felt as though my period was about to start, and it also happened around the same time It would have normally arrived too.

Yes. Some cramping. I wouldn’t describe its as strong pain though. You don’t know strong pain until you’re in labour...

I actually felt implantation especially on one side which I later found out was due to a cyst on my ovary. Then was cramping for a while so I just knew. I’m currently 13 weeks with twins so I think there was just a lot going on!
