Hi all. Am looking for (non zoom) ideas for marking a youngster’s milestone birthday. My dc lives alone away from home but does visit (we are in a bubble).

I am a bit stuck what to do. Anybody done anything good ?

Do you have a garden? For DD’s and DH’s lockdown birthdays I covered the garden in bunting and set up our inflatable hot tub. I’ve seen companies hiring out inflatable hot tubs. Providing you have outside access to the back garden they will set it up for you.

Hot tub hire. Hmm. Maybe.

I'm doing afternoon tea for my dd (who's staying with me) and sending ahead of time cake to her sister, dad, grandparents and uncles - they will join us via zoom. Not overly exciting but my girls have an iou one trip overnight to London and a musical when things reopen as their proper treats for birthdays (both in lockdown this winter). Dd2 isn't living with me so I'm sending a cocktail and canapé package to her.

No zoom for us. Sick of the sight of it.
