Acne at 30... What skincare shall I try?

I've never had a problem with my skin until I had my baby a year ago. I now have horrendous acne! I thought it would settle down but it's only getting worse. What products can you wise ladies recommend me please? My skin isn't even oily, if anything it's quite dry! Just covered in big ugly whiteheads and red blotches. I am sore and my self confidence is at an all time low. Please help me get my nice normal skin back Sad

I would suggest (it will be trial and error though) contraceptive hormones. Some people suffer further from acne on contraceptive hormones, but if you find the right one (could be depo, or more likely the combined pill - can’t quite remember) it can greatly improve your skin! Other than that I like Mixa cream (Amazon) it’s like sudocream but no where near as thick apply at night

Thanks @Liveitalittle, I am on the pill at the moment and was thinking of asking for it to be switched to a different one. I will look up the cream. I have been using sudocrem once a week and it does seem to soothe my skin for a day or two, but you're right it's very heavy.

Honestly, don’t bother with skincare. Just go straight to your GP and try the prescription stuff.

I have never suffered with proper acne, but I did have a mild back break out once. None of my skincare helped (I used a variety of products, all the popular suspects, expensive products etc). Skinoren from the GP worked very well and cleared it up.

I’d agree with go straight to the dr. My “adult acne” turned out to be pustular rosacea , so I really needed proper treatment.

In the meantime lots of people I know found Laroche-Posay Effaclar Duo good.
